Health, Safety & Trust

Built on a foundation of safety and integrity.

We hold ourselves to the institutional compliance standards of The Unique Scholars Institute so families, schools, and athletes can participate with confidence.

Medical Clearance & Physical Activity

Important information for all participants and guardians.

Athletes should have medical clearance to participate in physical activity. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any new training program. Participants with known medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations should discuss participation with their physician.

Educational, Not Medical

All nutrition, hydration, and recovery guidance provided through Athletic Fuel is educational and is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or clinical advice.

Assumption of Risk

Participation in physical training carries inherent risks. By participating, athletes and guardians acknowledge these risks. USI carries appropriate liability coverage.

Supervision & Safety Protocols

Every training session follows a structured, supervised format.

Qualified Coaches

All sessions are delivered by qualified coaches with appropriate training in youth athletic development and safety.

Structured Warm-Up & Cooldown

Every session begins with the Prep-Panther dynamic brand stretch (15 minutes before scheduled training) and ends with a 3-minute cooldown reset.

Hydration Breaks

Every standard session includes 2 structured water breaks. Every summer session includes 5 structured water breaks. Hydration is mandatory, not optional.

Heat-Adjusted Scheduling

Summer training times are shifted earlier (mornings) to avoid peak heat. Heat index monitoring determines session modifications or cancellations.

Recovery Education

Athletes are educated on sleep, rest, foam rolling, and mobility work to reduce soreness, prevent injury, and support long-term development.

Age-Appropriate Progression

Training intensity, volume, and expectations are scaled by age band (8–10, 11–13, 14–17, 18–24). No child is asked to train beyond their developmental stage.

Regulatory Compliance Posture

As a program of The Unique Scholars Institute, Athletic Fuel adheres to:

FERPA

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act — student education records are protected.

COPPA

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act — parental consent required for minors under 13.

PPRA

Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment — survey and data-collection safeguards in educational settings.

ADA / WCAG 2.1 AA

Accessible design meeting Americans with Disabilities Act standards and web content accessibility guidelines.

Title VI

Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs on the basis of race, color, or national origin.

Title IX

Equal opportunity in education programs regardless of sex — both boys and girls participate in all tracks.

Privacy & Data Handling

Authentication and identity are managed centrally by the USI Hub.

We do not collect or store passwords. All authentication is brokered through the USI Hub. This site receives only a session token.

No independent PII collection of minors beyond what the USI Hub already governs. Sign-in is brokered by USI.

Analytics are synced to the USI Hub — not to third-party ad networks. No targeted advertising is served.

Compliance questions are routed through the USI Trust Center — one accountable channel for all pillar programs.
